Problem with internal card reader recognition....
There's something wrong with all in one internal card reader. It has 3 USB 2.0 ports and 3 Fire Wire ports. I have installed it in my system and have checked out the cables as well. USB 2.0 ports is working fine but for some reason card reader is not even getting recognized. I see Unknown device in Universal Serial Bus controllers in device manager. I have installed its driver from the CD that was supplied with the card reader but it still wont get recognized. Does that mean i have picked up a faulty all in one internal card reader?????
Re: Problem with internal card reader recognition....
I will like to inform you that card readers now a days are well supported by windows XP and there is no need of installing additional driver to get them working. You simply need to have SP1/SP2 installed correctly along with motherboard chipset drivers. In case you have motherboard that uses VIA based chipset than you will have to install VIA USB filter drivers for it.
