NtFrs Timeout Error: Event 7011
I’m running SBS 2003 fully patched with all updates installed since years and it was working fine so far, without any problem. Yesterday don’t know what went wrong suddenly my client workstations started dropping connections to the server. They get a message saying “ou are now working offline message.”
When I checked the Event viewer log, it shows Event ID 7011. In its properties there is also mentioned “NtFrs service timeout.” An important part related to this error is it mostly occurs while accessing database on the server shared by three users.
Any idea or any kind of help will be appreciated.

I think you can fix the problem by correcting adjusting the autodisconnect value for the LAN. Just go through the steps provided in the KB for the same: http://support.microsoft.com/default...en-us%3B138365

Thank you very much for the help Scott2580. I set the disconnect time to the maximum and now it works bit good. Anyways, I am not able to understand why it worked this way for so long and just started to log them off.

Hey guys, back again. As the above posts says, 10 days ago I fix the problem but yesterday again I started getting same NtFrs error. The lan disconnect setting is 0xffffffff, the maximum value. Should I set the value to -1? Please help again.
