Need video drivers for Intel 810/810e/815/815e series video card
I have a dell system that has an intel 810/810e/815/815e series graphics and I have installed windows vista on it. Now the problem is with the resolution, since i am able to get only 8 bit 800x600 display on it. I have tried searching for its driver from many sites, even the dell website but I couldnt find the Vista driver for it. And since this machine is pretty old, I dont want to put another graphics card on it, it will be just waste of money. Can anyone tell me how to get proper display resolution on this machine.

I have now been able to hack vista with the IEGD 5.1 drivers (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/conf...&Dwnldid=15502) downloaded from the Intel website. Thanks to all of the former posts and especially to richard who I've quoted in my last post. Here are the instructions step by step. The trick to this issue is this. First you must install the setup file located in the utilities folder. After it is finished vista will say that it did not install correctly. Than you must go to the device manager, select the Display Adapter and update the driver. Search for the "Driver" folder in the IEGD_5_1_Windows extracted folder and select the "SSIGD" file. Loads up fine with True 32-bit color and has a display resolution of up to 1280x1024 pixels.
