I've just encountered these errors in my event viewer on my exchange 2003
server running on Windows server 2003. My backup was using Windows backup
What's the best way to recover my removable storage DB or start a new one ?

(file=C:\WINDOWS\system32\NtmsData\NTMSDATA)(code=1224).
Event Source: Removable Storage Service
Event ID: 15

RSM cannot manage library Tape0. The database is corrupt.
Event Source: Removable Storage Service
Event ID: 93

Neither copy of the RSM database is consistent: Reconstructing using the
main datafile.
Event Source: Removable Storage Service
Event ID: 85

Followed by these errors every 5 mins.......
Event Source: DCOM
Event ID: 10010
Description:
The server {D61A27C6-8F53-11D0-BFA0-00A024151983} did not register with DCOM

Re: RSM Database corrupt & cannot be rebuilt
This one might help.

Also;
From eventid.net
<snip>
GUID: {D61A27C6-8F53-11D0-BFA0-00A024151983} is a problem with Removable
Storage. It means that some settings in DCOM for Removable Storage are not
registered properly. I ran DCOMCNFG and the minute I ran it - it stated that
it wanted to register two GUID's that were listed in DCOM but not the AppID
section of the registry. When I said yes and rebooted, the error went away.

This article is for Windows XP and probably doesn't apply but it wouldn't
hurt to call anyway.
