Accessing "http://companyweb/default.aspx" From remote location
Can anyone please tell me how do I add an IP range to allow someone remote access to the companies internal website? They are all getting a message stating that the IP range has not been approved for access so I want to change this and add their IP range. In the background, we have 2 servers with both being in different states using the one in site A as the PDC and other in site B as the BDC, also they are able to access folders and files without any problems from either server although, http://companyweb/default.aspx cant be accessed from site B? Can anyone please help me out? Thanks.

You can try to set up Windows Small Business Server 2003 for Internet access. This is the most common setups that you can use to set up Windows Small Business Server (Windows SBS) 2003 for Internet access by using one or two network adapters. You can use the CEICW to set up a network, a firewall, a website, and email services in Windows SBS. For more information visit this website - http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763

First of try to run Internet Explorer with no Addons. After that reset the IE settings and check the results. To do that click Start and then go to Control Panel. After that change to Classic View on the left side and double click the internet options. Go to Security tab and then click Default level button for every icon and then Select a zone to view or change the security settings. Click Programs tab and click the "Make default button" if it is not grayed out. Then go to Advanced tab and then click Restore Advanced Settings button in the Settings area. After that click Reset Button in the IE settings and click ok.

If the above solution doesnt work then there could be a DNS problem. Can you try to make sure that the computer only has the SBS server as its only DNS server. Just try to ping the companyweb.domain.local and after that browse to the http://companyweb.domain.local.
