Windows Boot Manager Fails on Vista Install
I want to install Windows Vista beta 2 but after it boots from the DVD then I am getting an error message that says:
"Windows did not start correctly. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
File: \windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc0000001
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt."
Can any one point me to a solution because I dont know whether it is a hardware problem or a bad fownload or burn of the ISO image of the operating system. Thank you.
RE: Windows Boot Manager Fails on Vista Install
Thanks for looking through, because I have now solved the problem. I found out that it was indeed a bad burn of the ISO image of the OS. So, after making a new DVD, I was able to install Vista on my computer without any issues.
RE: Windows Boot Manager Fails on Vista Install
Even I am facing this similar kind of problem after when Vista tries to install and and fails after its first restart. I have checked your solution of redownloading the ISO file of the OS and then re-burning it, but still nothing seems to be working in my case? Is there any other solution? Thanks
