Event ID 10009 Dcom was unable to comunicate which the computer
I am using 4 wired ethernet network, using Windows XP SP2 and a linksys router and switches. The network works properly but in one computer, every time a event viewer with a Dcom problem id 10009 appears with the below information:
"Description: DCOM was unable to comunicate with the computer (computer name) using any of the configured protocols."
It will happen every second changing the computer names, for each computer in the network. It will occur only in the same computer again and again. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks

It might be possible that it is happening due to a resource that you have mapped which is no longer available, so you will need to unmap a drive. When you are finished using a mapped drive, then its always good to disconnect or unmap the drive. So, to do this same, you can try to launch Windows Explorer then go to Tools > Diconnect Network Drive. After that, you will be given a window lising the drives you currently have mapped, highlight the one you want to disconnect and press ok. You will also have to check the printer on the computer in question and see if one that is shared is no longer available.
Re: Event ID 10009 Dcom was unable to comunicate whirh the compute
Thanks for the reply, I have cleaned many unused shared printers and it fixed the Dcom Event Id 10009, but there is another error with Event ID: 23, User: NT, AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, Printer Auto WinFax on (let say pc 2) failed to initialize because a suitable WinFax driver could not be found. It will occur everytime I restart the pc and even also when the connection is disabled? Any ideas?

You can try to search the registry for any reference to WinFax and then remove the key but first, backup the registry and then export and save the key and then remove or use a tool called Registry First Aid by downloading it from the net.
