RE: DNS Error 4000 and 4013
Yes i am getting a lot of errors but they mostly repeat. I will copy and
paste some of them:
ID13508 in the FRS Log:
"The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling replication from
ARISTAR-DC to ARISTAR-SALES for c:\windows\sysvol\domain using the DNS name
aristar-dc.Aristar.local. FRS will keep retrying.
Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning.
[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name aristar-dc.Aristar.local
from this computer.
[2] FRS is not running on aristar-dc.Aristar.local.
[3] The topology information in the Active Directory for this replica has
not yet replicated to all the Domain Controllers.
This event log message will appear once per connection, After the problem
is fixed you will see another event log message indicating that the
connection has been established."
Directory Service Log:
Event ID 1104
Event ID 1864
Event ID 2093
I can paste the verbose from the logs if you need me too.
I am thinking about trying the steps i read in this article,

Re: DNS Error 4000 and 4013
Yes onn the
Directory Service log:
Event ID 1104
Event ID1864
Event ID 2093
Event ID 1586
FRS Log:
13508
I can attach the verbose from the event id's if you want but i thought it
might get too lengthy.
I read the followin document and i am thinking of trying
it:http://www.windowsitpro.com/Article/...088/46088.html
