stop: c000021a fatal system error....0xc0000135
About a month ago I bought a compUSA laptop which came pre-loaded Windows XP Home edition. It worked fine until last night. Today when I’m trying to boot the laptop, it gives me the following error message:
“Stop: c000021a fatal system error
Windows logon process system process terminated with a status of 0xc0000135 0x00000000 0x00000000
System has been shut down.”
I tried booting it by selecting “Lat Good Known Configuration” but yet the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

Most probably the error "STOP 0xC000021A" occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe fails. Hence you will need to troubleshoot them in order to fix the booting problem. The best i can suggest you is follow the process provided in the following KB Article: How to troubleshoot a "STOP 0xC000021A" error

Can you try to boot up your pc with any Windows XP CD and then select R for repair options. When you will do this then a recovery console will start and take you to disk prompt. At this prompt you need to run this command - chkdsk /f
fixboot
After that exit the command and then remove the CD and check if you can boot normally in the pc again.

It looks to me that incase the file system in your computer has become corrupted then that file have crashed or might have caused the file system to crash. So, you get the new error when you are trying to load Windows in Normal mode. So to solve this issue you can try to restart your computer and then launch Safe Mode and try to execute a system restore point back to a time when everything was working fine. Hope this helps.
