Event ID - 7011, Source - Service Control Manager, 'Netman timeout error'
I was running this windows xp Home edition system with SP1 since a long time and never had any problem. Recently I upgraded the same with Service Pack 2 and since then I notice a message getting generated in Event Viewer occasionally. Here it is:
Quote:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7011
Date: 11/10/2004
Time: 4:28:55 PM
User: N/A
Computer: PCG-FXA47
Description:
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the Netman service.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
When I searched the web regarding this I came through several discussion with the same problem and they all say that it is related to Zone Alarm but let me tell you that I haven’t installed Zone Alarm ever on this system. So those solution wont apply to me, right?
Any other fix for this problem?
RE: Event ID - 7011, Source - Service Control Manager, 'Netman timeout
Well i dont have any information about Event Viewer logs so i cannot suggest you anything personally but while searching for solutions regarding the same i came across TechNet at microsoft.com,troubleshooting/support page. I think this what you need. Just go here and click the event/error utility. This on-line utility gives refrence to the events and some detailed info.
Hope it helps.
