Microsoft Xbox One price drop confirmed in UK
Microsoft has confirmed a price drop of the Xbox One, currently booked in the UK. Does it mean that it will give a boost to sales of the machine facing the PlayStation 4?
Since its launch at 499 euros in November, Xbox One made a first price down to align the PlayStation 4. Also, Microsoft has removed the camera from its Kinect bundle to offer at a price of 399 euros.
In an attempt to sit its tariff appeal to the holiday season, Microsoft announced several packs at Gamescom last month.
In parallel, the Redmond company has confirmed that a permanent decline in prices is in order, in the order of 20 pounds, offering a 329 pounds instead of 349 pounds.
This offer is currently booked in the UK, according to a spokesman for the manufacturer. The operation is intended to attract more players, on the eve of the release of key titles such as Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Consequently, the bundle includes a white Xbox One game and Sunset Overdrive will be sold at 329 pounds. For now, Microsoft has not confirmed the application of the tariff decline in other territories in Europe.
