Radiator placement for Core i5 computer
I have a liquid cooler. The radiator is 240mm long. I am not able to figure out where to place it. Should I add it on the backside. But what about the motherboard. Will it fit well. I can put it on the down but what about air ventilation. I am bit confused here and I do not think my cpu cabinet is having connectivity for that. If I have to buy a new one which what should I purchase. I can see a lot of cabinets but how to find whether they support this radiator or not.
Re: Radiator placement for Core i5 computer
The placement is important here. Or else your system will not cool and you will have issue if you are going to overlcock or play games. The best thing you can do here is upgrade your case. Or if you can tell me the model of your existing cabinet then I can explain you how you an hook it. You will have to do a it custom modification. The best place is to put the radiator on the top side. You can drill out holes and place the radiator.

Instead of modifying your existing cpu you can buy Antec GX700. It is one of the best budget gaming cabinet that will help you to hook liquid cooler more effectively. This cabinet is also ideal for future upgrades. Like if you want to add different storage devices or graphic card. This case has two big size fan on the top side and with hooks to connect the cooler. This will be quiet simple. You can hook 120 or 240mm radiator quiet easily on it.
