driver for unknown device acpi\hpq0006
I have a old HP dv9500t laptop and recently upgraded it to Windows 7 from Vista. The operating system got installed and after that I installed all the drivers for the motherboard and chipsets. But when I check in Device Manager then it shows me an Unknown Device and when I checked its Hardware Id then it was shown something like ACPI\HPQ0006. Can anyone tell me where can I get drivers for this devices? Thanks.

Download the Quick Button drivers for your Windows 7 OS from this link which will help you to resolve the missing driver issue. If you want Windows 7 to work with some old Windows mobile devices then you have to install some update that will let the two to communicate easily. You might have to do a Windows Update after you have connected the device.

Actually this device id related to HPQ0006 is for HP Quick Launch buttons. There is a Quick Launch button drivers released for by HP for Windows 7. You can go to HP website and under download section you can find that Quick Launch button drivers which is available for download. Either ways you can download the same driver from this link.

Have you tried to install the Vista driver in Compatability mode. To do the same simply right click on the .exe file and then go to Properties and then select Compatability mode. After that you have to checkbox Vista and then choose the option to "Run this program in Compatiblity mode". Click ok and then double click on the run the .exe file in admin mode. See if that works for you now.
