change font of UI elements in Windows 8
Can anyone tell me how to change the font of UI elements in Windows 8 that was used to be done in Windows 7? I was able to do this in Windows 7 but am not able to do it in Windows 8? So is there anyone who has done this successfully? Thanks for any solutions in advance.

If you like to go into the registry then you can do it in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics. Or otherwise you can download the Windows 8 Font Changer file from the below attachment. It changes the settings for CaptionFont, IconFont, MenuFont, message font and font status. But for the font size you have to right click on the desktop/Customize and get under it and then make left display. But before doing all this, create a system restore point.

You can try to open registry editor and then navigate to this location - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes and then check in the left pane. After that double click the “MS Shell Dlg" and "MS Shell Dlg 2” one after another and then type the name of the font that you want to choose in each of them and click OK button. Now if you want to know the name and styles of the fonts installed on your pc, open Control Panel and then click the link Fonts. After that select any of the fonts that you want to display and then reboot the computer to take effect.

You can also use Segoe UI (the primary Windows typeface) for UI elements such as buttons and date pickers. Segoe UI supports Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Armenian, and Georgian alphabets.
