My dell latitude C640 displays low graphics
Hi all, please my dell latitude C640 is showing a small square box when I boot it up I need a display driver which I believe is ATI mobility.
And also sometimes some of the keys won't function, can anyone explain to me the cause of this problem?
Thanks for your replies.
Re: My dell latitude C640 displays low graphics
Well, the "small square box" is definitely an issue with the graphics driver. So what you can do is either go to the official dell website and download its graphics driver, from here, or go to the AMD website and download the latest video driver, from here. Note that first you have to completely remove all the video drivers from your laptop and then reinstall the latest.
For that keys that do not work, can you explain in brief, what is the issue, what keys or key-combinations are not working, there might some dust inside the keys that you would want to clear off.

Thanks simond for response, I would try and download the latest drivers.
Sometimes the keys might work which includes a, f, j, k and some other keys and other times they won't work I don't know why.

Check if the NumLock key is on or not and after that look for the FN key in the lower left corner and looking at the top right of the Numlock key. Also check the keyboard connector for any broken pins. Well, it could be also a motherboard problem that you may need to replace.
