The metal bar running the across the inside and due to this paper feed roller does not able to completely roll out the paper. It gets stuck sometime and due to this lots of papers get wasted. I could not able to figure out how to remove. Is there any good tutorial about this?

For repair and replacement of any part from the printer you have to refer the printer manual. It will contain detailed instruction and step by step guide about printer and its components assembly as well as disassembly. Sometimes you will get a manual as a booklet but sometime you will get digital print either in Html format of PDF format. The installation CD which contains the printer driver, also contain the manual in it. If you don’t get one, you can refer it online by going through the Dell printer page.

Actually you don’t need to replace the paper feed roller. What I do is, just use a fine sandpaper to rough up the roller. Sometimes, the roller may get smooth and thus causing them to stop picking up paper. When you rough up it with sandpaper, it will get better and able to pick paper one by one. If it does not help, then eventually, they'll need replacing. Sometimes the rollers catch clogged with paper dust, particularly those with jagged surfaces. Cleaning this will also makes it better.

You can Examine the paper feed rollers / drive by doing this:
- Look inside the printer in the usual location of the drawer.
- Locate the two rubber rollers beige. These rollers cause and load paper into the printer.
- Wipe the rollers with a dry cloth and try printing again.
- If the printer still does not paper, it is possible that the feed rollers are worn (40X0070). As a temporary solution, try to return the rubber feed rollers on the back. Out again the tray 1 of the printer and remove the rubber strip of each wheel of the rollers. Turn each strip of rubber on the back and put on wheels.
- If this solves the problem, this means that the feed rollers are worn and need replacement.
- If the printer still does not charge paper, it is possible that the feed motor tray 1 is faulty. In this case, the printer will be repaired.
- If the printer causes the paper drawer but since the paper jams occur, attempt to diagnose the problem by locating the edge where the incoming sheet of paper stops.
Re: How to Replace paper feed roller in Dell 1100 laser printer
As far as I can recall, Dell buys all of its printers. The printer is dead and if the printer is still under warranty, then they will act quickly and if not, try own hand because cheap lasers is usually not worthwhile to repair from a professional. You should first clarify whether there is a problem in the mechanics of supplies, as well as the imaging drum and developer unit have a mechanism that starts at some time to rattle. The rattle means that the drive engages the rollers, the rollers but something blocked. This may create a paper jam, or with the drive for the toner transport is defective. Most times in these directions. More info about the printer you can find on the Support page from Epson, the manuals and troubleshooting.

Try the following instructions:
- Be sure to load envelopes in the multipurpose feeder (MFP) which is positioned on the front of the printer or the paper tray.
- Be sure not overloading the multipurpose feeder tray (MFP). The stack of envelopes must remain below the area of the level of the tray
- Make sure that the right side and left side are adhered gently against the sides of the stack of envelopes. The tray must hold the stack of envelopes into position, but do not put pressure on the envelopes.
- Do not insert the stack of envelopes into the printer too. You must test strength when the top edge of the envelope is fully inserted in the multipurpose tray. At that point, the envelopes have been fully and properly inserted. Do not force the stack of paper in the machine too much. This can cause the envelopes are not fed properly from the printer.
- Make sure that the edges of the envelope are plane. The folds of crumpled envelopes are often badly jammed in the paper path.
- Replace with new envelopes from a box still closed.. NOTE: The envelopes that have been exposed to the environment for an extended period of time soak up moisture from the air.
- If you are printing on a specific type of envelope, try printing on envelopes normal standards to see if you have the same results.
- If you experience the same power problem after trying all the tips, you must replace the rollers feeding the multipurpose feeder (MPF).
Re: How to Replace paper feed roller in Dell 1100 laser printer
If a paper tray for the printer paper is not fed properly, it is possible that there is a problem with the two rubber rollers for paper feeding for that particular tray. If the rollers are dirty or worn, problems can arise such as power failure or jamming of media fed from that tray. If the problem is solved by cleaning the rollers power or turning them inside out, means that the rollers are worn and need replacing. However, you should be able to continue using the printer to replace rollers. If the paper does not feed from the tray, it is possible that there are issues that require further intervention on the printer. NOTE: Before starting an operation, be sure to print on plain paper. Otherwise, print it again with plain paper loaded in the tray. Some special media such as card stock, labels and letterheads are more difficult to feed during printing, so they can increase the cases where the page is not fed by the rollers. Place plain paper even if the special media have worked in the past.
