AMD Radeon HD 6970 gives me low performance while playing Crysis Warhead
Hello friends, I have just added HD 6950 from Sapphire on to system, along with new PSU and HDD. I have immediately flashed beast to a 6970. Well at present I am getting some fps results with crysis warhead, but seriously to tell that I expected it to be little better as game still feels quite leggy at certain points. I have noticed it when checking out things with fraps in first level of Crysis warhead then I was getting 17 to 42 FPS. Well at period of time the fps drop below 30 and due to which game is not at all good to play. Presently running it in 1680 x 1050 with enthusiast settings and AA is disabled. Having latest drivers and I m using AMD card for first time. So please help me out with it, below are specification which I am using at present. Thank you.
Specification:
- Q6600 clocked at 3,4Ghz
- HD 6950 flashed and clocked at 6970
- 8800GTX as dedicated physx card
- 4 GB memory
- Gigabyte P35 DS4 mobo
- Corsair TX750 psu

I would suggest that you better try out 10.12 hotfix, which might be helpful and fix the problem which you are getting it. Just go to below link and get it for you.
AMD Catalyst 10.12a hotfix
Re: AMD Radeon HD 6970 gives me low performance while playing Crysis Warhead
I really do not know much about it, but Crysis with maximum settings along with 8xAA on CF rig is been running really best, I have not got FPS below 45 and I would say that it is really amazing to play. One more thing I have founded that when you are running 64bit exe then triple buffering does not work anymore when you have activated Vsync. I would suggest that turn off Vsync or better start 32bit exe and force triple buffering with d3doverrider or readeon pro, then it will be working properly and also not be getting problem with it.

Turns out I'm already running 10.12 I've just noticed that when I'm looking at the ocean in Crysis and I can only see the ocean and nothing else I can top 70fps, yet when I turn around and have a good overview of the island I get about 22fps. Overall during gameplay the average fps seems to be somewhere around 30fps.
