Cisco Linksys E2000 connects only wirelessly using "Guest" account
My recent network setup is using the Linksys E2000 router and with the Cisco Connect Utility. There are 2 accounts configured and they are MAIN account and a GUEST account. But now there is a problem with this setup. The issue is I can only connect through the "Guest" account via wireless. When I tried using the MAIN account, the connection shows me that "Limited Access".
Re: Cisco Linksys E2000 connects only wirelessly using "Guest" account
I don’t think that it will happen like that with Main account. There must be some kind of misunderstanding from your side. I assume that, the Main account is acting like a Guest account and Guest account is acting like Main account. You need to log into the router’s control panel and check the Account settings and access privileges once again. Set them default. Otherwise Delete the both account and re-create them once again by providing proper exceptions.
Re: Cisco Linksys E2000 connects only wirelessly using "Guest" account
Guest access (Guest Access) is a function of Cisco Connect software that creates a wireless network separate from your local network. Your guests cannot access your network or your data. If you want to disable the guest account access to your connection point Valet or Linksys Wireless-N router. Guest access can be updated and changed in the Web configuration page.
Re: Cisco Linksys E2000 connects only wirelessly using "Guest" account
The web interface provides no information on guest access for this route. It is therefore obliged to go through to connect Cisco sure to configure guest access. Cisco connect greatly simplifies the configuration of the router but this configuration is not alone as you say. Inducing people to use the web interface to better control the routing and security opens the door to uncontrolled access by a guest. The web interface is for advanced people. Cisco connect is designed for beginners and helps to properly secure his router as Linksys specialist. Cisco connect is simple, fast and safe.

Can you tell me which operating system you are using on the computer? First of all if you are connecting via Wireless, then make sure that you are connecting to the correct network and also using the proper security key. If there are preferred network saved on your computer, delete them and they try to connect the wireless network. Also try by disabling the firewall and anti-virus. Something is wrong in your computer and due to this Accounts acting weird.
