Is it possible to install Windows 8 Consumer Preview Mac by mounting ISO files on a DVD, creating new partition on HDD and install it bootcamp? Because I have recently switched to Mac after getting bored with Windows OS. Now this Windows 8 looks somewhat interesting and eager to check it.

As with previous versions of Windows is possible to install Windows 8 Preview consumer either as virtualization (Virtual Box, Parallels, VMware Fusion), or as a native system alongside OS X. With this solution we must choose at boot time which system should be started. Of course it is also possible, Mac OS X to be replaced by Windows 8

Yes, what he is telling is really true. You can make use of the Windows 8 32-bit iso image and burn it on a DVD. I tried the 64-bit but it didn’t work. Next thing is to create a Boot camp partition that is at least 25 GB. Now boot from the DVD. When the option comes, you have to choose the advanced option at the install screen and after that choose the boot camp partition. Before installation make sure to forat it. Currently I have installed it on MacBook (2007) with 2 GB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive and it works great as I think.

However, it makes the most sense, in addition to Windows 8 install Mac OS X on the hard disk where you used the solution to Apple's Boot Camp. This has several reasons: Firstly, we simply perform better when running only one system and not two at once, such as Parallels. Second, you need a partition on which Mac OS X, if actions can be performed only on Mac OS X. These include the implementation of the EFI updates. To complete the installation successfully, you need a bootable Windows 8 installation disc. In addition, you should of course have enough space on your hard drive. It is also important to note that not all Macs, a 64-bit Windows. When in doubt, the 32-bit version of access.

You can just run a VM from an external drive. A VM is nothing but a file on a disk that is read by a program. There you can install the Windows 8 Consumer preview. You may get problem with some drivers. So you need to wait Apple release updates for Boot Camp utility with Windows 8 native drivers.

Parallels has announced that they have an update for the virtualization software Parallels. They have reported that the new version can now programmatically install Windows 8 Consumer Preview under Parallels Desktop. Here, the download of the Windows operating system from Microsoft server, the configuration of the new virtual machine and the installation of Windows 8 in the virtual machine is fully automatic and no intervention is performed by the user.

The software "Boot Camp" helps you to run Windows on Apple computers with Intel processors. There is an update package for Windows resolves issues with older "boot camp" versions and improves the interaction of the Microsoft operating system with the Mac hardware.
