Windows XP restarts while booting first time

Hello,

Ok about a month ago (don't know what changed) every time I boot my pc it goes to the desktop just fine but the moment I click on anything it restarts and then is completely fine upone 2nd boot except I cannot shutdown normally, I have to hold the power button down.

It's starting to drive me crazy. Any ideas how to solve this?

Any ideas are hugely appreciated.

Before I suggest you something about the same can you just post the complete specification of your system so I can have a better idea of the issue that you are having, I have checked out for it and have found that this issue arises due to improper combination and ram, anyways just post the specs here for further help.
