I have purchased The Darkness 2 and installed the same on my computer. I noticed that I am not able to get any sound while playing game. I could not find out whether the issue is associated with the game or hardware component of my computer. any help to fix the matter will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.
You have to take care of the thing that you have set volume Set to max in Volume mixer. You have to click on speaker in bottom right of the screen located at the system tray. In case you are playing the game then check out whether The Darkness 2 is set to max in volume mixer.
I recommend another solution which you can try to fix and I am hoping that it will be useful to you.
- You have to go for Control Panel and click on Hardware and Sound.
- Now click on Sound and go for Communication.
- You have to select Do Nothing radio button to resolve the matter.
Looking at the situation I am suggesting that you should simply update the sound card drivers. You can get the latest version of the sound card drivers from the official website. after installing the driver you should restart the computer.
