Suggestion for PSU for 4 GTX 580's SuperClocked
Hello friends, i am presently using Corsair 1200w PSU and thinking to purchase four Evga Geforce GTX 580's, i will get the SuperClocked from evga itself. SO i am not getting the idea which second PSU should i get for the system, so can you people suggest me that for which one i should go for and which will be the best for me. Thank you.

I wanted to know what are the other specification you are using it. if i wanted to go for PSU then will gone for low voltage one such that 500 - 600 W corsir PSU for the sake of the motherboard, CPU, ram and corsair the rest.
Re: Suggestion for PSU for 4 GTX 580's SuperClocked
Specification which i am using is Intel i7 950 3.06 GHz Bloomfield (1366 Socket) which is not been overclocked. Having a EVGA X58 4-way Sli Classified motherboard, 12 Gb DDR3 (6 Sticks x 2 Gb each) of G.Skill 1333Mhz each (PC3 10666) of RAM with Corsair Gold 1200w PSU, also having 120Gb OCZ Vertex 2 SSD and 1.5 TB Western Digital Green drive HDD. So please tell me that which will be the best and suitable for the system.

I am presently using the silverstone ST1500 1500W ATX 12V 2.3 & EPS 12V SLI Ready 80 plus silver, i am also somewhat same configuration which you are running at the present moment, so it might be helpful for you to get the power to cards.
Re: Suggestion for PSU for 4 GTX 580's SuperClocked
I would say that you search for 5.25 bay psu, you might be able to get some of PSU for you. I am using the FPS Booster 4x 450 watt, where it is having the 2 12v rails at 20 amps per rail, which any of it can handle a 580. I have come with a 6 pin pci-x cable from one rail and a 8 pin pci-x from the other for gtx 580 card. Where the both of the pin points are been left over from each rail and it uses 6 pin to molex and 8 pin to molex for fans and water pump.
Re: Suggestion for PSU for 4 GTX 580's SuperClocked
I would suggest that you go for Toughpower 1500W TP-1500M - Thermaltake, you can search about it and you will find it very much comfortable with specification you are having it.
Re: Suggestion for PSU for 4 GTX 580's SuperClocked
I would say that you wait for EVGA's 1500W PSU, which will be best and also proper for you, if you are trying to connect two PSU then it will depend on you that what you wanted to do with the system of yours. As you are planning yo go for heavily overclock gtx 580's then i would suggest that you better install multiple power supplies in your system, if you are leaving it to stock speeds then you should go for 1500W PSU.

The outlet which i am having, it cannot handle anything which will be more than 1200 watt, so due to which i am also looking for another unit. So when i will going for second unit then will do some mild overclocking and will be using the 1200 watt to power 580s and will be having another unit which will be powering to everything else.

The outlet or the room circuit which you are having it, it will not at all care that from where is the wattage coming, whether coming from 1 or 2 PSU. If you use a 1500W and it will break the cricuit then the combination of 2 PSU with total of 1500W then also your circuit breaker will blow, so it is not depend if you use more than one PSU.
