Re: How to Boost Performance of Samsung Galaxy S
I hope that you are very well known about the Galaxy S. If so, then you also know that it has fast 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor. Even if it is faster processor, it will occasionally cause the phone to feel sluggish and unresponsive. The reason behind this is, the Samsung Galaxy S usually tries to access its internal memory. Here comes the problem. Galaxy S has RFS file system but it won’t come with any kind of buffered write support. When the phone asks for multiple write requests, it blocks the file system. This makes the phones to operate slowly. I don’t know whether there is fixing for this issue yet.

Re: How to Boost Performance of Samsung Galaxy S
I really like the Samsung Galaxy S because it is one of the best phones on the Android category. The phone looks really cool and comes with different price range. Everything is fine in this phone but there is slight problem with Samsung stock firmware. The applications lag much as compare to other phones. The file system access is very slow as compared to other phones like Nexus One.
Re: How to Boost Performance of Samsung Galaxy S
Yes, it is true that Samsung has problem with its stock firmware. But the problem will not last longer. Someone has brought the Open Source to the rescue. The name of the project is Voodoo. The main intention of the project is to convert the proprietary RFS filesystem to Ext4. This is the great fix for stock SGS. If you want to compare the performance, you can use a good app called Quadrant Standard Edition.
