Activity Monitor of Mac OS X Lion is not working properly
I have recently bought a MacBook Pro which is running Lion 10.7.2 and I am having problem with the Activity Monitor, I mean that when I am launching it then I am able to see the eight bars but then only four of them are active and the other don’t spike up, is there anyone who has an idea about this and can help me out with it?

I think that you might be not be stressing your cpu, anyways just post the specification of the system that you are having so I can have a better idea about the issue that you are facing and will try to help you with the same.
Re: Activity Monitor of Mac OS X Lion is not working properly
Below is the system specification of my MacBookPro:
- OS- Lion 10.7.2
- Processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7
- Memory 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3
I did not get you by what you said about stressing the cpu?
Re: Activity Monitor of Mac OS X Lion is not working properly
See you have not yet used the cpu to that extent where it shows up all the eight logical bars as active. I mean that even if you are having dual core but then your system use is throttled to just one core and that is the reason that you are getting just four logical ones. Hope that helps.

I will like to add that i3, i5, i7 processors hyper-threading in short each core can support 2 concurrent threads of execution, so in your case the operating system is not having much things to process, if you want then you can check the same out by multitasking, just try it out and then you will be able to notices the difference.
