Fujitsu Lifebook T580 HDD vs. SSD
I am thinking to get the Fujitsu Lifebook T580 but before that , I want to know that what is the difference in the performance of the system with the HDD in comparison with the SSD. I am unsure that should I get 256GB SSD or a 1TB HDD. For me, 256GB is very less as I store a lot of movies and videos to it. So I am posting this over here and hope that you people will provide me some better idea about this. If you can give me some good suggestion along with the suggestion then I will really appreciate that. Thank you so much in advance.

The only compatibility issue that could find the time is to buy the hard drive and the type of connection when you are installing a hard drive which can be attached to the specifications of your motherboard (in the case of a desktop PC) or laptop's manual. You cvantake a look to that and find out what type of connection used.
Re: Fujitsu Lifebook T580 HDD vs. SSD
Solid state drives will not only provide much more reliable and lighter than current hard drives but the performance improvement will be dramatic. For example a button is a tested on Windows Vista, Leopard imagine as anger WOW. here is the result:
- Weight: 60g vs HDD. SSD 47gr.
- Start Time: 1:03:00 vs HDD. SSD 00:36:29.
- Reading Data (PDF 25 Mb): HDD vs 00:12:04. SSD 00:04:04.
- Reading Data (PSD 40 Mb): HDD vs 00:20:01. SSD 00:13:24.
- Time off: HDD vs 00:13:02. SSD 00:09:03.
- Vibration test: SSD HDD is damaged and running smoothly.
The test results are spectacular for SSDs. The only negative point of the SSD is its high price but not very large as we can enjoy this great technology at an affordable price.

The "Solid State" is a term used to refer to electronic components built entirely of semiconductors. In simple terms? The SSD gets rid of the magnetic storage to give us a solid storage and no moving parts.
Re: Fujitsu Lifebook T580 HDD vs. SSD
If the maximum data rates are excellent in both cases, the SSD marks an advance that increases when you use many small files. Be careful though to entry-level SSDs that do not always provide the expected gain over HDD. The WD VelociRaptor HDD is the best yet in terms of access time. The performance of HDD are far behind those of the SSD. Only the exclusive use in disk storage (personal files, photos, videos) allowing them to compete with the SSD.

Advantages:
The advantages of SSD versus HDD are listed below:
- Operating system boot faster
- Faster read and write
- Resistance to extreme conditions (movement and strokes)
- Lower thermal output
- Lower power consumption
- No noise
- Secure Erase (the data can not be recovered)
Disadvantages:
- Price: The reason price / GB is very high, which is why a lot of users use HDDs
- Capacity: SSDs have a lower capacity than conventional hard disks reaching terabytes amounts.

Unfortunately the price of SSDs prevents users to get SSD and so they go for have HDDs. I hope that soon the prices of these units are affordable for most people and can take advantage of the high performance achieved with solid state drives.

Thank you so much for this. Finally I have decided to go for the SSD.
