How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
I have 3 dell computers with lan card supporting 1000 mbps which are connected to a switch 16 ports also supports 1000 mbps switch i is connected to a modem router Comtrend brand that supports 100 mbps. I guess I need a modem router 1000 mbps for the entire network has a speed of 1000. My question is which modem or modem router 1000Mbps consejais but I have connected to cable phone does not wan.
Re: How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
Do you have a connection of over 100 megabit per second? In your local network and can transfer at that speed, but unless you have more than 100mbps internet output, little change is going to serve.
Re: How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
You do not need a 1000Mbps router. Anything that is connected to switch will operate at that 1000Mbps speed. The router traffic will go to a maximum of 100Mbps. If you go to the speed of your Internet connection. but to put a 100 in the sw of 1000 does not set the network all at 100 slows the network between computers. That happened with the 10/100 if you click an all dispositibo to 10 to 10.
Re: How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
If you really have a switch one of its features is just that, the independence of speeds between ports. If the switch allows up to 1000 can be connected to devices 10, 100 and 1000 and each of those teams will go to the maximum transfer rate, except of course the transfer device with a lower speed. Let me explain:
1000 to 1000 of 1000 passed
1000 with 100 transmits at 100
1000 with 10 passes at 10
Of course the opposite also go to the slower speed, but I say that this is independent of whether the devices are connected at the same time at different speeds.
Re: How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
if you have a gigabit network have to put Category 6 STP cable because as much as you want but you will have many losses of speed.
Re: How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
As per me here you necessitate a router with a gigabit wan port look out for little net builders wan to LAN guides & look out your pick from the list with the bigger wan to LAN.
Re: How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
If you wish to connect wired devices, can utilize the Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect directly through Ethernet cable. Gigabit Ethernet protocol boosts the speed over Fast Ethernet or 1000 Mbps up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) in the case of wired devices.
Re: How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
I am thinking of replacing my Linksys router with an elderly machine I have. I am checking it in a VM at present and have given it four vcores at 4GB of RAM. I haven't seen it go over 1GB of RAM, but it goes above 50% on every core doing an easy file transfer. This is doing this beyond the WAN interface with IPS place to medium, firewall, and NAT. It doesn't sustain NAT out of the box, but I compiled it to a package and made an ISO to place in it in the OS.
Re: How to get 1000 mbps network speed from the router
Just tell me one thing, have you asked to your ISP about what they suggested? It is unique for ISPs with higher-speed presenting to make precies recommendations and/or present to sell you a solution. They have a vested interest in you having CPE that makes their service look good.
