Crossfire with AMD Radeon HD 6870 + 6850 or Radeon HD 6970 only
i want to upgrade my PC for better graphical performance on games. Currently I have Corsair TX650, A 6870, an i5 2500k Running at 4.4ghz as well as a ASUS P8P67. I am looking for 1920x1080@60
I have 2 options among my budget:
- Find a 6850 and crossfire through my previously existing 6870
- Trade my 6870 and purchase a single 6970 in its place
But there are lots of thing regarding the performance and issues need to be cleared before taking the final decision. Can anyone clear me out all the necessary things?

Indeed, with its Radeon HD 6870 (Bart XT) and Radeon HD 6850 (Pro Bart), AMD operates a reorganization of its range which may disturb some users, while remaining perfectly balanced. With the names HD 6870 and 6850 at first we might have expected to high-end cards that would replace the HD 5870 and 5850 even how they did in succeeding the HD 4870 and 4850. It is quite different.
Re: Crossfire with AMD Radeon HD 6870 + 6850 or Radeon HD 6970 only
The AMD Mobility Radeon HD 6970M Crossfire (otherwise ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6970 X2) consists of 2 HD 6970M in Crossfire combination (like SLI). The 2 graphics cards to render an image usually alternately. This can also be Microruckler come (uneven spacing between two images lead to noticeable stuttering despite liquid fps rates of about 30 fps). Since the memory chips in each graphics card has the same content can be saved, you can not add the amount of memory. 2x1 GB are thus as 1 GB of games.
Re: Crossfire with AMD Radeon HD 6870 + 6850 or Radeon HD 6970 only
Launching the Radeon HD 6870 and HD 6850 sounded the death knell of the ATI brand. Just over four years after its purchase, ATI is now digested and it is now time to turn the page. So welcome to the AMD Radeon HD 6870 and HD 6850 which marked the arrival of the second generation of DirectX 11 GPU manufacturer, while its main competitor is still in decline Fermi line. AMD is again first and expects to be tough to nVIDIA, although in terms of positioning, Bart XT and Pro are not intended the GTX 480.
Re: Crossfire with AMD Radeon HD 6870 + 6850 or Radeon HD 6970 only
The Radeon HD 6970M is based on the desktop HD 6850 graphics chip, code-named Blackcomb XT. The Blackcomb XT supports UVD3 chip to decode HD videos and Eyefinity + for connection of up to 6 monitors (notebook offers DisplayPort). Further details can be found on the side of the graphics card Radeon HD 6970M .
Re: Crossfire with AMD Radeon HD 6870 + 6850 or Radeon HD 6970 only
What you wish for is probable to obtain excellent performance you require to clock the slower card as lofty as the highest card to obtain a few improvements. However it will work and carry out great. You simply have got to modify the clockspeed and memory speed volt and things it perhaps will be some faster.. Try to employ MSI after burn.

Benchmarks that provide high demand deviations, or interaction (BF2 - start the benchmark is measured by hand while already) we do not use too. Unfortunately, some games for benchmarks rather ill-suited (eg Oblivion, Battlefield 2, GTA4) because they contain no partially automate, customize the graphics performance of the system (visibility, etc.) or simply such a large scatter in the results have, so they are useless. A test run of all of our benchmarks takes up to 12 hours and is therefore also a good stability and compatibility testing for the graphic maps
