Google Sites is really the new version of JotSpot, a service for creating wikis that Google acquired in October 2006. It is now a tool integrated with Google Apps for creating an online collaborative website. Everything is done so that it is not necessary to know the HTML standard to manage the site. Google Sites will save on costs through the free service where the only requirement is in subscribe to Google Apps. It is ironic that Google has created a tool for professionals and where it is not necessary to apply the knowledge of them, but Google hopes that this free tool be simple and effective hook to capture more market share.

With Google Sites you can make a website for - for example - a club, team, school class, family, foundation or association. A website to exchange information, including calendar, downloads and other components. Everything is easy to adapt itself, even by different people. Google Sites is not suitable if you want a unique design. It is less suitable for business websites or portfolios.
