- Select the two to merge pdf files by holding down Command while clicking with the left mouse button or trackpad on one first and then the other.
- Once you have selected both pdf files right-click (or two fingers on the trackpad) and choose "Open"
- Preview will open the first file open on the left and the thumbnails displayed on the right of the two pdf. If they were going up, the View menu, and select "Sidebar-thumbnail"
- If the pdf files have multiple pages, they are always displayed as thumbnails in columns and an arrow appears next to the first page. Click that to contract all the pages and leave visible only the first
- Now just drag the thumbnail of one of the other pdf files and preview them merge into a single pdf file
- As we see, the first pdf file now contains the second

If you do not have a version of Adobe Acrobat, in Preview can make some simple adjustments to the documents. In short you can reorganize, cut and join multiple PDFs without the need for another program. To do any of these tasks only need to show thumbnails of all pages of your document and do the job you want. We can move each page from top to bottom and even drag them to another PDF document. Once finished just have to save your document to keep the changes.
