Re: LG releasing 47inch LCD
Yes LG has unveiled a new 47-inch LCD panel in order to reduce the power consumption and to maintain the brightness levels respectively. They have also claimed that this new 47-inch LCD will consume less power as compared to their 40 inches as well as the 20-inch computer displays and it is also said to be the least power consuming among the other displays. I have heard that they have used a no of LED bulbs as they are following some homegrown technology and they have attached some LED lamps to the side of the panel as well and these led lamps are energy efficient with the usage of only 30~50 watts and the panel also maintains 400 Nits of brightness as it is having a three-film structure and it is also using a Local Dimming Technology.
Re: LG releasing 47inch LCD
LG has also Unveil a 47 Inch LCD TV which is having a Transparent Screen as well as a Multi Touch Feature. It has a transparent screen display which just looks like a plain glass and it gives the feeling that the movies and the pictures are flowing in air. I don’t have much information about the same but what I have found by now is that it is also having a Multi Touch feature and it is equipped with IPS technology as well. You can check out it some videos on YouTube for to actually understand its feature well.

Re: LG releasing 47inch LCD
I have also got the VIZIO SV470M 47-inch 1080p LCD HDTV and I am not satisfied with the following feature of it:
- I am not able to turn off the "Vizio" logo front bezel glow light. There should have been a option to do so as my friend is having same kind of model from Toshiba and they have provided the option of disabling the logo.
- I have found the remote option to be very basic
- The Menu option is also a bit complex to work with.
