I am using Samsung s5253 wave 525 since from 6 months. There is now doubt about this awesome phone. This fully entertains me at anywhere. One day while surfing on internet, I found that Samsung is launched Bada 2.0 with additional features and great interface. Therefore, I have decided to update my operating system to Bada 2.0. However, I am not sure that can I update my operating system to Bada 2.0. So friends can anyone tell me that can I update my OS.
Currently Samsung wave 525 is working on Bada 1.1 operating system. You can update your wave operating system up to Bada 1.2.that also; I am not 100 % sure. Moreover, Bada 2.0 is recently launched from Samsung and they have declared that only Samsung wave and Samsung Wave II will be some of the devices, which are surely updated to this operating system. They have not declared that Samsung wave 525 can also be update. Therefore, friend sorry to say but I do not think that you can update your Samsung wave 525 to Bada 2.0.
I have read many forums and I found that this Bada 2.0 is only available for Samsung wave I, II, S8500and s8530. This operating system is only compatible for those Samsung mobile whose processor are power by more than 800MHz.and comparing to your Samsung wave 525 is powered by only 300MHz. so now you can understand why you cannot update your wave 525 operating system to Bada 2.0.
First tell why you want to go for Bada 2.0. Just for to see its interface then you can update your phone to Bada 1.2. Because I have heard from many user of Bada 2.0 that it’s interface is almost equivalent ot previous Bada version. If you facing problem in your wave 525 regarding to operating system then you can also downgrade your operating system and reinstall the Bada 1.1. In addition, I am sure after reinstalling you will not get this problem.
Now a day’s many mobile companies are only concentrating to android operating system but only Samsung mobile company is give more preference to Bada then android. Still they were stuck to Bada and launching new and newest version of Bada OS.
I have heard that this Bada 2.0is can be update to all Bada phones including Samsung wave 525. I hope you can update your wave 525 OS to Bada 2.0, because I have many seeing user opinion that they are commenting same thing.

After reading huron opinion about on Bada 2.0, I have decided to buy a Bada 2.0 phone. I do not like android phone because now a day is many where using android only. There are three Samsung phones are available in market. Samsung Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y all three phones will be power by Samsung’s own OS Bada 2.0. These three phones have almost same features, there is only difference between them is regarding to screen and price. Wave 3 has 4-inch display while in wave M and wave Y have 3.5 and 3.2-inch screen. Wave 3 and wave m comes with 5 megapixels while in wave Y has 2-megapixel camera. Wave Y is cheaper then Wave 3 and Wave M.
will i b able to use wattsapp with bada 1.2 in wave 525???
Samsung Wave 525 mobile phone doesnt not supports whatsapp applications because of native operating system. However, it does support nimbuzz. Nimbuzz allows file and photo sharing like whatsapp and also free texting b/w nimbuzz users. If you want a complete chat client however, then i would suggest ebuddy.Quote:
