Will Left 4 Dead 2 game be supported by OS Lion?
I am currently running Leopard 10.5.8, which means I cannot play Left 4 Dead 2 game, which was recently given to me by a friend. Snow Leopard and Lion are the same price, I would get a lion, so I'm finally updating my operating system software, but I'm a little unsure if any of my games work with the lion. Should I get Snow Leopard to ensure the game or wait for Leon and updates steam?
Re: Will Left 4 Dead 2 game be supported by OS Lion?
Snow Leopard is necessary to update Leon anyway. Only available through the App Store. You can wait for Leon, but as said you require 10.6.8 (or higher if they will come) to upgrade to Leo. The App Store is only for the first day. There will be physical media at a later date, but has not been confirmed yet. They said, basically, for people working in the Apple store you could go directly to the lion.

Apple comes with "Installation Media" that only runs the app store, and simply select the operating system to install and do it for you, and you can buy in the process if you have not already done so. I'm sure this will be USB sticks. It is impossible to require 10.6 to be installed in order to install 10.7, maybe at first, but definitely not a long term solution. Let's see if I have right or wrong.

Yes, there are alternative methods, such as creating a bootable USB / FireWire drive. At a minimum, however, needs at least access to a Mac with Leopard installed for purchase and download Leon. The long-term solution is pre-installed Leo on all new Macs. Why do you think the latest versions of Mac are being delayed? I've also heard before the publication you need 10.5, but not sure.

Still I have a sneaking suspicion that eventually they will get enough people who do not like the solution that will do something. My bet is that the Apple store is set up with an update in some way at least allow you to access the App Store and download a copy of burning or something. I will assume that the update of Leo will not take long and the thing Leon SL is not as bad as everyone is doing it to be. Blinds on the windows updates I wonder if the App Store will offer to install updates to new versions. Anyway, let's wait and see, and that this speculation does not help anyone.
Re: Will Left 4 Dead 2 game be supported by OS Lion?
So do not require 10.6 versions. You can buy the $ 30 upgrade and set up 10.6 over 10.4. Though, the license agreement, Apple promised that it would buy the version of $ 120 if you had 10.5. However, Apple was as fresh as ever and the integrated use of spyware to actually check if they were honest. You may install one copy on fifty computers if you want. Now, with the App Store application can be almost impossible to do any of those things without any intentional hacking theft and simple. Only one of the many reasons I'm afraid this update. I have a bad feeling is Apple really going to disappoint in this decade. After 16 years of exclusive use Macintosh, I've really come to love. I hope we were not disappointed.
Re: Will Left 4 Dead 2 game be supported by OS Lion?
In most cases, this is not necessary. After installing Leon for the first time will have a "recovery partition" on your internal hard drive that you can use to reinstall 10.7. The problems begin when changing the entire hard disk and therefore lose their recovery partition. Yes, but unlike before, not even be able to get around when you cannot get Lion Snow Leopard. No 10.6, Mac App Store no, not Leon.
