Re: HP Product Assistant.msi is missing
I think you should try to solve this problem by doing system restore point in your laptop. if you have made any system restore point previously then you have to do system restore in your laptop and after that your problem might get solved. Just try this solution and after that check whether same problem is coming or not. I think after trying this solution your problem will get solved.
Re: HP Product Assistant.msi is missing
The problem which you are facing in your laptop is because of the missing hpproductassistant.msi file and if you want to solve this problem then you have to copy this file in your laptop and after that you will not get the same problem in your laptop. you can copy this file with the help of the CD which comes with the laptop. Just insert that CD and after that restore hpproductassistant.msi file in your laptop. if you want any more information then let me know.
Re: HP Product Assistant.msi is missing
Yes I agree with the above post, I was facing the same issue in my HP laptop and after that I have inserted HP software CD. Now after that you have to do windows explorer by right clicking on the windows button and after that explore your HP software CD. Now after doing that go the setup folder and after that fine the hpproductassistant.msi file and double click on that, now it will install the missing file and you will not get this problem again in your laptop.
Re: HP Product Assistant.msi is missing
As you have said that I can solve this problem by putting the HP software CD and recovering the hpproductassistant.msi file but I don’t have Hp Software CD. Now please tell me what I should do to fix this issue. is there another way to recover this file? is there any possibilities of having problem with my operating system? If any one have solution regarding this then please help me out. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Re: HP Product Assistant.msi is missing
Yes you can recover this file by downloading it from internet, first you have to go the HP official site and after that you have to select the software and driver downloads and after that you have to put the product name or product number and it will give you option to download the driver. Now after doing that you have to Full Feature Software and Drivers option and download it. Now after downloading it you have to double click on that file and after that when you see the installation screen at that time press exit. Now go to the temp folder and there you will find the hpproductassistant.msi file. Now double click on that and your problem will get solved.
Re: HP Product Assistant.msi is missing
After referring your post I have downloaded the Full Feature Software and Driver in my laptop and then I have done all the steps as you have said in your post and after that I have recovered that file from my temp folder. Now after doing that I am not getting any message in my laptop. Your given ideas really worked for me. Thank you so much for helping me and solving my problem.
