How to install windows 7 64bit on alienware desktop
Hi, I have a alienware desktop and on which from last year I was running windows Xp on that but now I have decided to move further as I want to install windows 7 64 bit on my machine, but I have heard that there are too many problems while installing that set up, isn’t it? And after installation some of the games are not supported in that so I want to ask you the same like whether I shall install that or not? And if yes then which will be the better way? Any suggestion?

Yeah that’s good as you are updating the operating system for your machine, but I would say don’t worry about the windows 7 as there are no issue in the operating system, in fact all are using the same only. Yeah there is lack of support for some of the games, but still you can run them in windows XP’s environment, so it doesn’t matter. And about installation, it is too simple, as do you have any set up or you are planning to download it or purchasing it? According to me you should download copy of the windows 7 and then simply install it.

Hey windows 7 is the best I have ever installed, and would suggest you the same to install this windows 7, and as the above user mentioned you first of all have to download the .ISO file for the windows 7 and then burn it to any media disk and after that you can install it in your machine, as all the steps or rather I would say method is same as installing windows XP, I have the same and I can play almost all the games.

while installing from the DVD you’ll get option for installing the windows and after that from the advanced option you’ll find the setting to set the drive in which you want to install the windows after selecting that it will automatically copy all the installation files in your machine and will install the windows.
Re: How to install windows 7 64bit on alienware desktop
I would rather than installing the normal version of windows 7 you should install the windows 7 alienware edition, because it is specially designed to work with it. There are too many added features in the operating system which you’ll not get in the normal version like they have improved the sound by adding very good drivers, together with that they have added Alienware touchpad drivers, Registry boosted up, and the flash player plugins and lots more things, so according to me you should install that only.
Re: How to install windows 7 64bit on alienware desktop
Yeah I am also using the same as they have included too many new things in the windows, like all-inclusive support for any trouble, analysis & fix of any hardware problem, and with that you can trouble shoot any software error also. I would like to tell you system requirement for installing this windows, you must have to go through it. For good functioning and setting up of Windows 7 Alienware Edition, like you must have at least 1 GB of RAM for installing the 32 but version and the 2 GB for 64 bit version, hard disk with 16 GB space for the windows, and for running aero you must have graphic card in your system, and the dual core processor which supports 64 bit operating system, so if you have the perfect hardware combination I would suggest you to install this only.
Re: How to install windows 7 64bit on alienware desktop
Exactly, the best feature that I like about windows 7 is like we don’t have to install any drivers after installing the windows, and let me tell you that all the games are now made to work with windows 7 thus off course you’ll not get any such issue regarding the game until and unless you are playing any such game which is either too older or specially made for nay operating system.
