Low resolution limits on AMD Fusion APU Motherboard
I was thinking of getting the Asus briefly E35M1 M-Pro, which is a micro ATX with an embedded E-350 APU. The fact that I can use my PC so lightly (not really a player) and it is so cheap for a CPU + motherboard together made this a viable option for me. But I was looking at the detailed specifications and I realized that both DVI and HDMI ports are only on the maximum resolution of 1920x1080 only. This is awfully unsatisfactory for me for the reason that I definitely would like to be able to use a 1920x1200 monitor. (I do not I have it yet, but it will be my next purchase.) And I hope that even two of them, money permitting.

Hello according to my knowledge, because 1920X1080 is 1080i or HD quality there is a higher standard? If you run 1200, then just get a black line at the top and bottom, otherwise it’s just stretch a 1,080 in 1200. The stretch of 10% is probably not noticeable in movies, etc. that does not seem strange. It would be pointless to go to at least 1920x1200, 2560x1600, if not through HDMI / DVI. I wonder if you could force higher resolutions.

In fact, not HDMI, because the maximum resolution for the HDMI 1080P. It also has to do with the bandwidth of the HDMI (HDMI 1.3 that is) is equivalent to Single-Link DVI. Dual-link DVI has twice the bandwidth, so it can support higher resolutions and refresh rates (120 Hz monitor). Not sure what the restrictions of resolution resting on DVI HDMI 1.3/single-link are nevertheless. I'm pretty confident that higher than 1080P. I hope this helps thank you.

Hello, I am not agree with your thought. No, it is not. Single link HDMI resolution of 1920x1200 60p has been holed up within HDMI specific versions 1.0 (made 9 years ago!) and most up to date. "1920x1080" maximum often placed on the cables and joints, even 1920x1200 works. It seems very common for some products by up to 1920x1080 with state-of-way audio, so if you're using audio pass-through does not have the support of 1920x1200. Thank you.

I agree I think it should be at least partially wrong, because even single link DVI goes up to 1920x1200. Thus, at least for DVI, I do not be acquainted with why it would articulate 1080 max. The question now is whether either of the two ports (DVI or HDMI) is able to go higher than 1920x1200. I'm thinking it must be unique link for any reason, despite having the manifestation of a dual-link DVI connector, as the requirement distinctively states "DVI Single Link.

H67 boards do not divide up the direct 16x PCI-E lanes on the way to the graphics card. The second PCI-E x16 will probably get four lanes from the Southbridge, which is shared with PCI-E x1 slots, USB ports, SATA ports, PCI slots, etc. Installing a PCI card into PCI-E x16 slot and will probably go from x4 to x1 mode, mostly by dropping the performance. That's why Nvidia does not permit SLI on top of H67, because the configuration is. AMD for its part is a bit more flexible. In such shooting in a chipset H67 will be slower than a P67 chipset.
