Yulong D100 vs Matrix Mini-I DAC
I was thinking which one will be the better upgrade for my V-Dac that I have, whether Matrix mini-i or Yulong D100? I am going to use it primarly as a balanced DAC connecting to the my Emitter AMP and Tannoy DC10T and will be also connecting my Denon D7000 and HD600 and everything will be played from my pc with River media player, wasapim etc? Thanks for any suggestions
Re: Yulong D100 vs Matrix Mini-I DAC
I would suggest you to go with the Matrix Mini-i that comes with balanced DAC with pre-amp features and remote as well. This Matrix Mini has a dual AD1955 chip and like many others it comes with an independent internal clock that aims to minimize the jitter introduced for your files on their way to the DAC. It can also handle 24-bit 192khz music via coaxial and optical inputs and then usb input maxes out at 48khz as well.
Re: Yulong D100 vs Matrix Mini-I DAC
I have done so much research for this and have found that the Yulong D100 is a more powerful headphone amp compared to the Matrix Mini-I. The D100 has a higher sample rate USB and therefore it could have a better souding DAC. Its remote is also classic with preamp feature, small size and lower price compared to Mini-i. Since I already got a good amp so there is no need for high sample rate via usb.
