Avoid KB2524375 that updates the certificate revocation list
This is like warning to everyone from my side and it is upto you all that how you take it.But from my side I would tell you all that this is something serious and you do need to take this seriously. What I am saying is that I am not installing KB2524375 update until I know it's safe. But from my knowledge it is not safe. I don't think there would be a problem with my BIOS mod but the update description is reason for concern. So what do you all have to say on this?
Re: Avoid KB2524375 that updates the certificate revocation list
I just had a look at the question that you have put up and would say that this is really something that is strange. But while saying that I would say that I am not very sure why you think this would be a problem. The Certificate Revocation Lists are there to enable Windows to check at the Issuing Certificate Authority's site then accordingly they pass on this to the SSL or even to the Authentication Certificates. This will have nothing to do with a BIOS mod. So I guess that there is some bit of confusion in your mind that I suppose is now over.
Re: Avoid KB2524375 that updates the certificate revocation list
Even I feel that there is nothing to worry about and that this is all for the security reasons.I think that the Certificate Revocation Lists are there to help the Windows to check at the Issuing Certificate Authority's site and then the SSL or even to the Authentication Certificates comes into picture. I suppose that this is for the security reasons and the security certificates has absolutely nothing to do with .xrm-ms certificates or windows activation. So this is what I feel about this.
Re: Avoid KB2524375 that updates the certificate revocation list
If you are really worrying on this issue then you just need to install the update to resolve the issue which requires an update of the certificate revocation list on Windows systems and to keep your systems certificate list up to date. This is I am sure that you will agree and then there will be no problem at all with you.You just have to install this update and this is an authenticate source from where you will be doing the upgrade. So I guess that to resolve this issue you don't have any problems and then all will be fine with you after that
Re: Avoid KB2524375 that updates the certificate revocation list
I think that the thing is that the control panel or the system says that the windows 7 is genuine and I only get a splash window when I start the system. So even I had this installation of the update to resolve this particular issue that requires an update to the certificate revocation list on Windows systems done and then all was fine with me.So even I would suggest that you should do the same and then everything will be fine with you.
