However when you go to sleep mode, applications which are in the back ground doesn’t going to close at all. At this point in order to save your ipad batter you need to shut them off manually. For this above told techniques are only the mandatory ways to close those.

You shouldn’t leave an app like which takes much of the ipad’s resources in the background. If you leave such apps in your ipad you will lose your batter charge as early as possible. However there are not ways to close those apps in ipad unless shutting down the whole device. For that what you have to do is, get any small programs like app killer or process killer for ipad or ios. If there any these kinds of third party app available then it would be very helpful for you.

I didn’t find any apps or method to shutdown the running applications in ipad. So it seems to me that it is not necessary for ipad. The ipad might be capable to hold those running apps in the background. Otherwise it is also possible that when you launch a new app, the remaining application will automatically going to suspends it process until you close the current app. There might be some reason for this which we don’t know yet. Whatever may be I don’t bother about that much.
