How to stream a Youtube video in InDesign document?
Hi,
I am trying to stream a Youtube video in a interactive Indesign document but Indesign keeps rejecting the URL saying: "The URL must reference a file that is compliant with Flash Player".
I think all You tube videos are flash, but the url doesn't specify the kind of file it is connecting to, so Indesign doesn't recognise it.
What to do? I don't want to host the video myself because it will slow down the website.
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks

If you are looking for something to work with the Streaming of youtube video in the InDesign then you have to .swf file via Flash Pro and later on use the same .swf into your InDesign file. You have to use the below given codes to call Youtube Video.
Code:
exVars.onLoad = function ()
{
VideoURL = "Youtube Video URL" + exVars.tkey + "&autoplay=1&loop=1";
_root.myMCL.loadClip(VideoURL, "_root.myMC1");
};
stop ();

I am trying to ling a youtube video in Indesign. I just simply want to click on a picture and I want it to go to youtube video? The document that I will be using is in Indesign 6 but I want to export as an interactive PDF. If I am trying to open it as PDF and click on the link then I am getting an error message that states "Google detected suspicious activity"? Does anyone know what could be the issue? Thanks

This is a known problem with the ID that has some kind of ptrouble converting URLs to Hyperlinks. There are many scripts made to solve this problem. To fix it anyhow, open the hyperlinks panel and then highlight the hyperlink. After that in the url screen correct the address, the ID might have changed the ? and = to something else, and then press enter. Now try to double click the Hyperlink and ensure that it matches the actual URL and then try to export to PDF interactive.
