GPRESULT /R not displaying computer settings
I have more than a few W2k8 servers which do not show the PC Settings at what time I run gpresult /r command. At what time I run command prompt as administrator at that time it shows up. Trouble is that it is not lifting up the PC GPOs and I have additional W2k8 servers that I am able to run gpresult /r and observe the PC Settings without having on the way to run the command prompt at the same time as administrator. I login into the server account with one that has administrator rights. Please assist me to get rid of this issue as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your valuable suggestion.

I will recommend you to try these suggestion and let me know whether this resolve your trouble or not. Right-click on cmd in the All Programs and choose Accessories menu and select Run as Administrator this will run DOS window as administrator. After that run GPRESULT /R /SCOPE /COMPUTER. Check if this resolve your trouble.
Re: GPRESULT /R not displaying computer settings
The User logged in is previously a member of the local Administrators group - as a result I do not think that is the problem. Everything else I can attempt? I am an Administrator on my Windows 7 system and I do not have a trouble - I obtain both PC and User information at what time I do a GPRESULT /R . I did observe at what time the User does a GPRESULT ->R ->SCOPE ->COMPUTER - it comes reverse Access Denied. On the other hand, like I said – I am an Administrator on the system.
Re: GPRESULT /R not displaying computer settings
Therefore OLDDC1 by no means be present in the Domain or else was it a part of Domain previous and was removed afterward? If a system is at a standstill taking the guidelines from that Server than it indicate we have several records of this system in AD as well as DNS. In the same way, under DNS Console drill down also make sure if there are several records pertaining to this DC. Also give us the extra information How many Domain Controllers are there right now in the Domain? Is this problem occurring on each and every one the system or with some specific ones ?
Re: GPRESULT /R not displaying computer settings
OLDDC1 was in no way part of the accessible domain. It was the PDC of the previous domain, previous to reinstalling Windows. There is just one domain controller. The problem is on each and every one machines. The just group policy event is GP Core unsuccessful on the systems. I reinstalled Windows furthermore this problem persists. It is the cause I reinstalled Windows 2008 R2 to start with. There is one error message that I cannot get free of in the DNS – event id 4010.
