I have nokia N97. from last i am facing problem related to message icon. when i receive an e-mail the email icon appears and when as soon as i read it, icon disappears. it is not happening with message icon it remains constantly blinking as if i had unread the message's. is there anybody who knows about this problem.
I think there are sim messages which causing this problem, from my point of view they need to be erased and to perform this you just need
to follow following steps:-
* Go to Menu
* Messaging
* Options
* Sim Messages
delete all sim messages this will solve your issue.
After deleting sim messages if blinking icon appears than try to delete all sms, mail and any other system messages along with them also try to delete all your appointments that you written inside calender option. it might be possible
that some of them are corrupted causes blinking of icon.
If after removing all system messages and other messages as well as Appointments you still facing a problem of blinking message icon, than simply restore settings of your phone by using an "restore factory settings option" available in settings menu. if this fails than simply restore new software's available on official nokia's site.
