Entry point RunSetupCommandW could not be located Error on windows 7
Because of many problems I had to reinstall Windows XP Home Edition. After much work and I managed to arrange the system to function more or less well. I just have a problem which I cannot solveThe problem is that after reboot I get a warning that says:
"Not Found The procedure entry point? RunSetupcommandW"
What I can notice is that the system seems to load well and apparently continues to function well. But it is annoying. Someone can give me some hints.
Re: Entry point RunSetupCommandW could not be located Error on windows 7
This problem may occur if you replace msvcrt.dll with a version from other manufacturers that do not contain _resetstkoflw function (recovery of stack overflow). To resolve this problem, use the Recovery Console in Windows XP to replace the MSVCRT.DLL file with the original version. Insert the windows XP recovery CD replace the files which are corrupted finally restart the computer system and the problem should be fixed.

Thanks for the reply but let me tell you that I do not know how to fix this error since I am not able to repair the files with the help of the windows XP recovery CD so what I need here is a complete step by step procedure and also tell me What makes advpack.dll on my computer. Since now I am getting the error which also has a file named as advpack.dll. Please tell me how far this file safe and it will be better if you can do that at your earliest.

Follow the instructions which are mentioned below in order to get this error fixed.
- Insert the CD-ROM Windows XP CD-ROM drive in the drive or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart the computer from the CD-ROM.
- Note: Some computers may need to modify the system configuration and basic input output system (BIOS) to boot from a CD-ROM. For information about modifying the BIOS, see your computer documentation.
- In the Setup screen, press R to start Recovery Console.
- Press the number corresponding to the installation you want to repair, and then press ENTER.
- Enter the administrator password and then press ENTER.
- With CD-ROM Windows XP still in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:
- CD system32
- ren msvcrt.dll msvcrt.old
- CD-ROM_or_DVD-ROM_Drive_Letter:
- \ I386 CD
- msvcrt.dl_ expand BootDriveLetter: \ windows \ system32
