Widcomm Uninstalltion wipes out all the data from the computer
I am using the system which is recently upgraded with the widows 7. With he up gradation I have installed the Widcomm BLUETOOTH 6.1 software allows us communication between our computer and others Bluetooth devices. I use the Bluetooth for the transfer of data from the system to mobile phone without using the data cable. But recently while uninstalling the software I found that all data, programs and the boot sector are wiped out from the computer. I don’t why it is happening but need solution for this. I have reported this to the Microsoft but yet not got any response from there so I am here to get the desired solution. Please help me.
Re: Widcomm Uninstalltion wipes out all the data from the computer
Before uninstalling the software I think you should to try removing the registry entries from the system I think this problem you are getting form there only as it generally happens that if the registry entries are still there it the system then the system start working slow or gives some issue like you are having right now. So try removing all the registry entry and then see if you are getting the solution or not. I hope doing this will help you to get out of this problem.
Re: Widcomm Uninstalltion wipes out all the data from the computer
I think to get the desired solution you need to clear the Windows file system transaction log which can be done by follow the steps given below. So try doing these steps to get the desired solution:
- First of all open an Administrator command prompt which can be done using the run and then typing the cmd to the run box after this right click on the cmd and then select the run as administrator and hit to the Allow intended for the elevation prompt
- Now In the command prompt, type command given: fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\ this will assume that windows 7 is installed into this drive. If it is not like that I mean if it is installed it on some other drive then change the drive letter only form the command.
- After following all the steps huts reboot the system and then I think you will get the solution.
Re: Widcomm Uninstalltion wipes out all the data from the computer
For the uninstallation I think you should use this method which I am giving here:
- For doing this action you need to go to the start option and then go to the run option from the menu.
- After getting the run type the commands without quotes and press Enter "regsvr32 -u BtNeighborhood.dll" "btstackserver.exe /unregserver"
- In this step you need to do backup for the registry for which you need to go to the start option and then type the regedit.exe. Into the search start option.
- After this remove the WIDCOMM key as of HKEY_CURRENT_USER with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE also remove "bt*.dll", "btcpl.cpl", with "bt*.manifest" from your system directory. I hope doing this will help you.
Re: Widcomm Uninstalltion wipes out all the data from the computer
I am regretful to observe others got practiced the similar problem and pleased that this problem is being lift by others than me. I have clued-up to the widcomm, Microsoft and even tried to contact with Microsoft representatives by mails who essentially think I find a virus. Unfortunaly the public who have to address this problem are completely ignoring it and not even worry to ensure if it’s accurate or not. For anybody who worries please perform this:
- Ensure that your computer is fresh of virus and malwares or even better start by means of a spotless install.
- Copy your hard drive into a fresh drive and boot from the fresh drive.
- Set up Widcomm Bluetooth Driver if you don't contain it and then uninstall it.
- Inform the results at this point and boot by means of your original drive as the fresh drive will be untidy.
