Programs (not network associated) refuse to open "dependency service or group failed to start"
Hi chaps, hopefully someone might be able to help!
Windows Vista Home Edition
On attempting to open programs such as Advanced System Care and Skype Installation Files, I get the following message.
The dependency service or group failed to start
I have tried to check the error reports, open services from cp and run cmd (administrative rights) and get the same message.
I have also run the usual scans but can't find anything relevant.
PLEASE HELP!?

Re: Programs (not network associated) refuse to open "dependency service or group failed to start"
They all apply to network adapters and the like, whereby in this case the error occurs on loading cmd, skype installation file and services program.
Please help!

Re: Programs (not network associated) refuse to open "dependency service or group failed to start"
You will need to run a command prompt as administrator
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt (Right-Click and Run as Administrator)
At the command Prompt type : netsh winsock reset.
