Change default columns for message list in Thunderbird 3
I have recently installed Thunderbird3. TB3 is now storing column list for message per list folder. The default column list is within its scope. i try to change this default column list but i was unable to do it. It means that i need to edit the folders individually. There is not any way to do this for all folder once. Please help
Re: Change default columns for message list in Thunderbird 3

After doing this some of the folder remain to default column but some were get change as i want them. I really do not know what few folder does not change but there are too many it was easy to fix at least few.I will suggest you to try this to change the default column list.
Re: Change default columns for message list in Thunderbird 3
Even i am having the same problem with Thunderbird3 and I tried your idea but it does not seem to work for me. I remember i have to change so many interface option to make Thunderbird 3 use able which is really boring to me. Now i am thinking to use some other mail client or reinstall Thunderbird2. There needs to be way to impose default view on all folder instead of doing it manually.
Re: Change default columns for message list in Thunderbird 3
To apply "Thunderbird default column" to all the folder perform the following step.
1)First right click on the column
2)SELECT apply columns to..
3)SELECT folder and its children..
4)SELECT root folder
You are done with it and you have applied the default column to all folder of your account. I try this and it is working for me.
Re: Change default columns for message list in Thunderbird 3
I have windows xp service pack2 and Thunderbird 3.0 and it works for me. Try this trick on your own risk. Column heading setting are placed in .msf file in your profile. If you wish you can change this column heading. Just perform the below step.
1}For one folder set column setting(In TB3)
2}Quit Thunderbird.
3}Delete all the file with .msf extension from Inbox.msf
4}Restart Thunderbird.
Now the default column should be set to all the sub folders.
