Exchange 2007 server side rule - put emails addressed to old alias in folder
Is it possible to create a server side rule to:
1. create a folder
2. create a rule to put emails addressed to old email address in that folder
Used to have FLAST@domain.com as an email address now it is changed to First.Last@domain.com. Currently one perseon has two email addresses. Going to turn the FLAST@domain.com alias off in a few months. Instead of sending an email to every user on how to create a rule on the client (over 2000 users using Outlook 2007) side. Want push rule from server. (Idea is to respond to people still using the old email address by going to the folder that the rule created before the alias is turned off)
Is this possible? How?

Exchange Server 2007 includes a transport rules to help you control the flow of e-mail messages in your organization. A transport rule contains conditions as to when to trigger this rule and an ordered set of actions as to what to do if the rule is triggered. Additionally, each transport rule can have exceptions that specify what to exclude from the condition. For more information on how to use Transport Rules refer Microsoft article.
