word 2007 undo bug with autosave
I have an intermittent problem with word 2007.
I am running vista home basic with word 2007, and have noticed that periodically, if the autosave runs, it blows away any ability to undo. In other words, autosave kicks in, then when I want to undo my edits, it won't. Sometimes it works fine, and I can ctrl-Z to my heart's content, but every once in a while it happens.
I've searched the web and these forums, and haven't found anyone who has posted about this problem, so I figured I'd ask if anyone's had experience with it and what they did to fix it.
Thanks,
Neil
Re: word 2007 undo bug with autosave
Basically there is no additional support provided on Microsoft Word Undo option. When the application saves the documents it wipes out the old clipboard settings due to which you do not get chance to use the undo back. There are limitation of the Undo option where it allows you only a specific number of corrections. So that is a inbuilt support where manipulation is not provided. Try to keep autosave at a longer interval of time.

Thanks for the feedback, Orion, but you are not quite correct. This is not designed behavior I'm seeing since sometimes the autosave wipes out the undo history, but other times it doesn't. I've had intermittent success simply closing down Word entirely and restarting it. Then, autosave doesn't wipe out any undo history I have.
