Re: Frequent Firefox crashes
At seemingly time periods , my Firefox will got crashed - or at least, I found the weired issue as "firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." message from the windows and I have restarted this to solve this issue . This is possible to drag the message at one side and avoid this, but it should not be going on in the first place.
My error signature:
AppName: firefox.exe AppVer: 1.9.0.3188 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 01f11ef4
Re: Frequent Firefox crashes
I am running with the problem where firefox is crashing in short period. Sometimes, after a crash I will have to kill the pid to even re-lauch the application. Probably , I am able to launch the browser again (after a try or two).
Has someone suffered with this problem, or could you indicate me to a log where I can get the better what is going on during the crash. I am not sure if it seems feasible for me ; however, Epiphany (mozilla dependent) exhibits the same behavior as firefox. Let me be sure if I have to give some additional information regarding the same .
Re: Frequent Firefox crashes
This is the system specification: OpenSuse 10.2, Kernel-2.6.18.8, KDE-3.5.7, QT-3.3.8 on i686.
Since I am running with the re-installation of the OpenSuse 10.2 I am suffering with this regular crashing of Firefox. Primarily, I am not capable to understand the causes of crash but later by reading somebody's post that I got the idea of going with the firefox from prompt and got the error message :
Code:
"/usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin: symbol lookup error: /opt/gnome/lib/mozilla/plugins/libswfdecmozilla.so: undefined symbol: swfdec_gtk_player_new"
I used for the reinstallation of Swf libraries but that is not helpful at all . I have started working with the Linux for near about 2 months so I still require some help at basic level..
