Just finished installing Windows 7 64 bit on my system. I have a Linksys router attached to the system. The issue with pc is that it is not finding any wifi network connection. What I know here is that everything is per-configured and I does not need to do anything. Just connect the modem and it founds the network. So I did the same. but right not I am not getting any further success here.

The icon appears WLAN without the yellow star. This shows that the The WiFi network is functional. Update your modem drivers first. If Windows 7 does not correctly detect the wireless network or if the network is not yet within reach, you can configure it manually. This is possible by doing the same from Network and Sharing Center. There you can see the current indication of your network. This is mostly a driver issue.

Manual configuration of Wifi network is quiet a complicated job but the same is worked most of the time when you face error while setting up a wifi support. While setting up a wifi you need a Network Name which is the SSID (Service Set Identifier) that identifies the wireless network according to IEEE 802.11. You have to select the type of security. The WEP encryption of the first generation is used which consists of 26 hexadecimal characters and WPA with WPA2 for more secure mechanism for encrypting data, which can contain up to 63 characters.

If the problem is identified, a solution is proposed by tool.

To work with the Zero Configuration, it is first necessary that the wireless is enabled at startup. So we will check this setting or change it if necessary. Go to the Start menu, then Run and type services.msc. You get a window with all local services in Windows. In this list, search for the corresponding service network and make sure that it is set on automatic. Once the automatic configuration service wireless is active, it remains to enable network management by windows.
