JRE and firefox problem

Hello,
I wanted to play chess on yahoo. At launch, it asks me to install JRE.I installed Java (OpenSource), but still the same message. So I installed the java plugin 1.4 for Firefox, always the same message. Is there a solution? Any hekp will be appreciated. Thank you.

If the normal installation is not working then install it from the site Java.com (self extracting). Have you tried to install sun-java6-plugin? It is what is installed on my laptop and java works fine.
